Default RE: Need Help : New Harley Race Tuner

You sound like you know your way around this new Race Tuner. I posted my problem in detail and just wondered if you could call me to discuss or if you provide a number I can call you when it is convenient for you. I am sure I am just doing something stupid. Here is the post:

Ok, I brought the new Race Tuner (32109-08) and cables but can't get the computer to communicate with the ECM. I can't even find the instuctions. I hook all the cables up and turn on the bike and the computer. I do have the correct icon on the lower left with the green line but the screen says the ECM is not compatible? I have a 2008 Road King Classic, the ECM part number is a 34245-08A and the cables are a part number 32184-08. I am connecting through the left side cover in the square four pin connector.. I am using a Dell Laptop loaded with XP and no other programs are open. The main problem is that after everything is hooked up and I push the red button on the VCI interface nothing happens. No lights , nothing. Then the screen states the ECM is not compatible. Could it mean the download? According to latest product guide at the dealership I have the correct part numbers. Any assistance would be appreciated.

Wink Daytona Twin Tech

I can't figure out why so many people are so up on the SERT. In my opinion; it is nothing more than a fancy power commander. If you want true control, try the Daytona Twin Tech. I replaces the stock ECM completely and gives you virtually control over all of. Not to mention that is learns all by itself. If you have the parameters set and change pipes or intake; it changes along with it. It is a bit more expensive ($800), but whats another $250 when you have complete control and don't need someone else to tune it. If you can run a laptop, you can program this thing.

because the Daytona Twin Tech, like the Thundermax, is an alpha N system (uses throttle position instead of the MAP sensor), and isn't the end all be all.

I had a Thundermax with autotune on my CVO Springer, and also on my previous '06 Deuce (I had a SERT before the T-Max), and it seemed like the longer I left it without loading another map, the more it "autotuned" itself out of a good tune....I removed the Thundermax and installed the TTS Mastertune, my bike is running way better with the TTS that it ever did with the Thundermax.

Fullsac Performance is selling the TTS Mastertune pre-mapped to work with the CVO 110's for $399. This is his discounted price offered to members of cvoharley.com. If you need the tuner for other engines, call Fullsac and ask for Steve.

I'm thinking about buying one of these. Just to make sure, this part number, 32109-08, will work on an 08 fxdse2? Also, they are nickel and diming you and the cable DOESNT come with it, correct?
