Should be fine to 6200. What cams do you have? If you have cams with later than 42* intake close and the stock throttle body, you aren't making any more power after 5500 anyway...I have an '08 fxdse, r&r heads, se257 cams, horsepower inc throttle body...104hp with stock throttle body...115 hp with the new one!

i have bobby woods cams 590 lift, 10.50 stroker piston forque , ported heads . the bike is a 2008 cvo 110 screaming eagle . dyno is 98 hp and 119 torque . that's why i was wondering what the springs would hold in rpm . just put the screaming eagle ram air cleaner . the one in the se catalog that has the sock that goes over it . it rev to 6000 very fast in the first five gears and it still pulling at 6000 rpm . did you mean you changed the throttle body?

Default New 2008 FXDSE

Sorry to barge in...
I am concerned about all the negative reports of 110" failures.
How have you engines held up in stock form and after you have made
all the enhancements?

How is the performance after your mods?

my bike was great before and after the changes. never had any problems . i would purchase a110 cvo again . not great gas mileage before or after. but if you purchase a high perforance bike then you won't get mileage . but alot of perforance . if your going to chromea bike out after you purchase a standard harley . then you will save alot of money and purchase a sreaming eagle cvo . you will be glade you did . i think they built a great bike

one other thing , if your thinking of purchaseing a harley , the dealer has alot to do with the way the bike runs, i'm lucky i guess . i go to battlefield harley in grettysburg pa . they have dyno room alot of parts on hand. never have to order se parts for me they got them in stock . they have two techs there that can do anything from heads, ported , engine building , cams , pistons . they done two bikes for me and i can tell you when i got them back (both screaming eagle 's ) i gave it full gas and almost came off the bike . i don't work there just a customer , if i lived 400 miles i would trailer the bike there and leave it . it's worth trip. i ask for travis or scott. to do the work . just my opion

Oh!!!!!! I forgot to mention I have already purchased a 105th FXDSE 110".
I love the bike, only have 800 miles so far.
I hope to do some mods such as you have done. I need to do some homework
and get a better understanding of what can be expected from performance upgrades.
I have a concern with the bike right now and that is oil consumption.
I have had to add 1 1/2 quarts of oil so far. I don't know if I should be concerned.
The dealer said this can be expected during a break in. Some buddys of mine claim it is not
normal. What was your experience? Do you use much oil now? How many miles on yours.
Also what model do you have?

Thanks
Charlie

yes I changed the throttle body...if you have the wood tw-8-6 you'll gain a lot above 4000 rpm with an aftermaket throttle body...don't use screamin' eagle

stock t/body made 104hp/115tq...hpi makes 115hp/115tq...don't have the injector p/n...believe they're 4.9 grams per second...throttle response is much improved, the bike revs much quicker, and hits the 6200 rev limiter before you realize it
