How to Wire an Inner Primary Bolt?
Yeah ... I know, I know, ... soak it in a glass of bourbon
I use a 7402 lock plate washer ( with bolts 4023 & 4024). Can someone point me to a video or an explanation as to how this wiring is done? BTW ... this is being done on an '82 FXR/FLT engine/trans combo.

aircraft wire lots of things -- the top bolt needs the wire to twist and exit at the 1 oclock location crossing down to the lower bolt at the 7 oclock location and tie it off
the stainless wire is .025 racing or .035 standard use - and is twisted in a clockwise direction - cut a piece about a foot long than slide it into the bolts drilled hole - pull it till you have it 1/2ed than pull it over the top and under the other wire being used -- than twist it all the way to the other bolt - slide it in and twist it off cut close your done
the object it to be pulling the bolts in the direction of tightening each other

As an aricraft mechanic for 40 years (so far), I have taught a lot of guys how to safety wire, but I have never tried to do it online.
Here goes...
Pass the wire through the first bolt, twist the wire clockwise, about 7 twists per inch. Pass the wire through the second bolt head, pull it tight through the head, then twist the wire counter clockwise (this will help keep the loop of wire around the bolt head from popping up).
Cut the wire, leaving about 5 or 6 twists. Bend that cut off end in half, and under itself, so it does not stick up where you could snag your finger on it.
Example 1 is what you will be doing.

Thanks very much guys! The serious answers are very much appreciated!! My guess as to the wire would be if aircraft wire ain't available to me, is 'safety' wire the same thing? And, what gage? The two vertical drilled bolts are smaller than the 2 horizontal ones that span across the trans sprocket and use the lockplates.
