The name is David, I'm from Caracas, Venezuela (lately called the last place before hell). I'm the owner of a nice little 1972, 74", 4spd. Pretty much stock as an occasional driver...

I've got some issues lately I need to work out with it, but first things first...

I'm installing a Screamin Eagle ignition module. The markings on the module are: 32597-96, 6800 RPM, 9611 and REV* (number or letter not clear) but I can't seem to find information with exact color matches and/or a diagram for what I have to be able to install it.

The connector is a 7 pin plug.
The top 3 pins are PINK - WHITE - BLK/WHT
The bottom 4 are BLACK- PPL/WHT - GREEN - RED

I can figure that the GREEN, RED and BLACK go to the same colors coming from the sensor (pick-up), the PINK I'm guessing RPM and the PURPLE/WHITE I'm thinking VOES (or maybe backwards but neither will be used)... but the other two, the WHITE and the BLACK/WHITE I'm confused.

Any help would be appreciated.

I am sure somebody here may know... that that ignition is for an EVO, so I guess you have more chances that somebody in the EVO section would know

 

Must I??? I mean, lurking in the EVO section, I might catch something... but then again, it is for my bike, so I will venture...

 

PINK wire to IGNITION COIL, NEG TERMINAL
WHT wire to IGNITION COIL, POS TERMINAL
BLK/WHT wire to IGNITION SENSOR PLATE, BLK CONNECTOR
GREEN wire to , GRN CONNECTOR
RED wire to IGNITION SENSOR PLATE, RED CONNECTOR
VIOLET/WHT wire to VOES switch
BLK wire to FRAME or BATT GROUND


positive wire from the ignition switch connects to positive on the coil
