Default Do I need dual plug heads?

I am in the process of having my new custom totally redone after an accident (fortunately I wasn't hurt, but my leg was pinned for a bit). Although the bike had dual plugs before the accident, the heads and cylinders were not OEM. I've since found OEM heads /cylinders and now I'm trying to decide what to do. The builder claims that although it's not a high performance bike, it helps the old motor run cleaner and makes the bike start easier. Before I get the new heads powder coated, should I have them drilled for dual plugs? Any advice would be helpful.

Thanks!

A matter of choice. You don't need dual plugs. A properly tuned bike will start easily with single plugs just fine.

Agree 100%
For pure performance the Hemi design likes a shorter flame travel...so dual plugs is a No-Brainer...Most Typical Shovels, like Mine. Not even close to being necessary...Not even desirable to me...much like Single Fire...Fluff.

Thanks for the input! In that case I see no reason to go through the effort of having the heads drilled.

Hopefully it won't be harder to start once it's tuned. Thanks again.

If it takes more than 3 Kicks...You need to go back to either tuning, or Technique. Generally...There are times when they show there Feminine side....

I don't have a clue about your plugs but I like your bike. How about some details and pictures?

Very nice bike. If it were me, I would get an air cleaner on it for sure. Sure looks bad with the car on top of it. I almost cried!

You don't need dual plugs in that bike.

Here are some updates of the rebuild. I was very lucky to find someone not only with skills and experience, but with more OCD than myself. Pete Aceto from Top Dead Center in Upstate NY. He's the kind of guy that works on every project like it's his own, and he truly knows what he's doing. He will NOT let something leaving his shop unless it's 100%.

Cool stuff! Any updates on this rebuild (I know it's been a while... lol)?
