Now...about the FLHT from post '83?

second - most of the guys would have given the same answer as that is a common issue and that is actually what it does WHEN its leaking someplace or you did not fill it correctly
third - many many camaros have z 28 on the fender and the only thing z 28 about the car is the badge -- some are into that
AND cap letters / words will get you run off as it is rude

Actually he was correct about the oil, low won't make that setup slip, you have something else going on and that type liked to glaze & warp the steel plates. Fresh shot of oil may give you bit of traction but it'll be short lived. They had a few other common failure items also may be worth your time to open it clean, inspect and adjust everything anyway.

Shovelhead???
Where or when did I EVER say I have a shovelhead??? I'm a guessing that's where you made your mistake, NEVER said I had a shovelhead, I said 85' FLHT.
Now that we're on the same page, I have owned three shovelheads and I know they have a dry clutch.
That's why I didn't know anything about a "wet" clutch... I'm sorry if you miss understood, are we good? Peace
