Forward controls are nice, but keeping your feet straight down directly on each side allows you quicker reflex and better handling control.

Just got back home from a friends house...He has a Survivor 1972 FX [no E of Course] not the boat tail one...the "regular" one. has 11,000 original miles on it!
Also has the primary cover with the Floor board tab...not used of course, but it is there.
When you see an unmolested example, you will wonder to yourself who decided to put the controls in such an Odd arraingement!!!!!
BTW I would almost kill for that original exhaust system!!!!

I doubt any info we can provide would be wasted on the owner of an Early FX!!! Except maybe on Chop Cult!!!!!
Yes...that exhaust is Cool as all get-out, very desireable, and getting a bit Pricy!

BTW what year is that one?? with that tank, those turn signals, and the later taillite? '74 maybe?

Racepres, it's a 75 FXE.

Donzie, really looking forward to see what you have coming. If it is a true model, it could be a really cool retsoration project for ya.

Yep, lots of ways to go here.
I'm anxious to see those parts.
For now I may do a '70s mild chopper look. 2" over forks, seat, upswept pipes...
but I'll always have the parts to put it back original.
We've even discussed the red, white and blue boat tail version. Time will tell.

Thanks to all for their input.
