Want to put floorboards on my '72 FXR

If your 72FX has the original outer primary cover, first your gonna have to replace the outer primary cover. 72FX's did not have the tab to mount a floor board on the left.
Forward controls are nice, but keeping your feet straight down directly on each side allows you quicker reflex and better handling control.

Also has the primary cover with the Floor board tab...not used of course, but it is there.
When you see an unmolested example, you will wonder to yourself who decided to put the controls in such an Odd arraingement!!!!!
BTW I would almost kill for that original exhaust system!!!!

I'm anxious to see those parts.
For now I may do a '70s mild chopper look. 2" over forks, seat, upswept pipes...
but I'll always have the parts to put it back original.
We've even discussed the red, white and blue boat tail version. Time will tell.
Thanks to all for their input.
