Default 4 speed shovelhead

Im going through the process of building a hardtail 4speed kicker only. My question concerns the bearing cage.Do you put a thin coat of grease on that before assembly the rest of the basket. Or do you let the bearings do the work inside the hub. If there is bearings there should be grease. If been told many different things, i dont want to **** it up,cause there aint nothing cheap about building this bitch.

which bearing are you asking about?

in an effort to help it live longer before the oil soaks in yes we use the green grease by 2 guy garage - stickie stuff i have ever seen or used
