In my humble opinion, has aftermarket parts, that's not bad, but:
Verify bolt pattern on bottom, n measure mainshaft length to see if compatible with engine shaft length, a few different lengths, for example, early kick only, electric start, etc...if you ain't sure, measure to see if compatible. To swap, if mainshaft length wrong, gotta tear trans near totally apart.

More pics...looks like a softail trans with the starter boss cut off...and a bearing support bolted on. You could use it in a 4 speed frame with the correct trans plate...kick only...open primary

Looks like an older jims case...no telling whats inside. Anything newer would have a boss for the speedo sensor...which may or may not be machined.

Well the kicker addition alone for a 5sp will set you back $400 and that outer support another 2 bills, out here in my area I can see that bringing $1200-1500 or better at a swap.

PS, something else to keep in mind if you are relying on kick only to fire the bike most those kicker add on kits for the 5's had an extension you threaded on the end of the mainshaft to hold the gearing, dunno about the later kits but the early ones ( late 80's & early 90's) didn't hold up well under hard use. I installed a lot of those and replaced some mainshafts when the end's snapped off. Find out what brand the kicker kit is and see if parts are still available for it before you consider spending bigger money on a dedicated tranny.
