Hi all, I'm new to the forums and new to shovel heads. Recently my uncle gave me his beloved 1982 FXB Sturgis. He had bought the bike new and rode 300,xxx miles on it over the years. It was the first bike I ever rode on and i'm very excited to ride it myself. Problem is the engine is out and apart and needs to be put back together. I'm ase certified but would rather have somebody who is reputable build my engine for me. I'm not looking for anything crazy just a rebuild with a mild cam. I'm located in Florida and would like to get this bike running pretty quick. He has another Sturgis that is running and I would love to ride with him at least one time before he is to weak to ride. Any help as to where I can find someone would be very appreciated.

as FLA is not 3 city blocks long it would be hard to guess what part of Fla - but take out the phone book and go look and talk to everyone in it that works on harleys you just may hit it off with someone

 

I know a guy! Depending on where you are in Florida I have a friend with a shop that works on older bikes. He just did my panhead. I am in Bradenton so if you are close enough drop me a line and I'll hook you up with his contact info.
