Smile I need to purchase new parts for ShovelHead and PanHead

Hello,

I am in need of some parts for a shovelhead 1975 and Panhead 1961. The list includes gas tanks, the footpegs, emblems for the fender and gas tanks, speedometers, horn and fishtail exhaust mufflers. Any idea where I could get them parts from ? I am not sure if I can get the OEM parts from Harley since the bikes are classic.
Any help is much appreciated!

Ryan

Ryan, You will not be able to get replacement parts from H-D. Some dealers used to keep a few used parts in the back, but I don't think that is the case these days.

If you want original parts, your going to have to hit Craig's List, swap meets, E-Bay, etc.

There are reproduction parts available everywhere. J&P has a restoration cataloger, as do other suppliers.

If your new to this, Good Luck.

The speedometers will be a high ticket item. The one for your 75 is a Stewart Warner 540 series, rebuilt will cost approx. $250-$300., a junk one will be approx. $100-$150. The one for your 61 pan is a Stewart Warner 509 series, rebuilt approx. $800.-$1000., junk $300-$600.
For oem parts, you might try "The Cycle Den" in Columbia Pa. ph# 717-684-9733
After the big fire they had about 3 yrs ago, the parts might be limited.

Your best bet is an AMCA swap meet.

This is your best bet. It is fun to go through everyone's stuff and you can get the best prices with some haggling.

Ebay will probably have most of what u want, but too many people doing the same thing and it drives up the prices. But if money is no object........
