Default find tdc on 83 fxrs shovelhead

I know this is a dumb question but i install a daytona twin tec 1005 and no matter what the front cylinder wont fire checking using a spark plug checker tool, and tried putting it to bar metal. I have new everything, i even sent the module to daytona to retest and they said it fine. I have new spark plugs, new spark plug wires, accel 140408 coils. Tried one coil didn't work so i sent it back and got a new one so its not the coil. But Which way to i spin the compensator nut clockwise or counter clockwise, and is tdc a vertical mark or a circle that is low on flywheel?

It's the vertical mark. It's best to buy an HD service manual and read step-by-step just in case you might have overlooked anything. Btw, this thread is a few days old. Did you get her running?

timing/tdc has nothing to do with not getting spark at the plug. If it cranks, and the ignition is wired correctly, you'll have spark.[if the timing is way off,it won't run, just backfire and make all kinds of noise, but you WILL have spark to both cylinders]Is this a single or dual fire ignition?
On the coil,are there 3 small connections,or 2?

As earlier poster said, you should see spark regardless of the current timing. I just went through some of this stuff after replacing stock points set up with a Dyna S ignition. Do you have power to the coil with ignition on?
