Love it Uncle Larry! It's been cold here in the Northeast, but got out to the garage and checked the rods. There was hardly any lateral movement of either the front or rear and I wasn't able to twist them.

Based on that I'm going to do the top end only right now. While that's getting done, I'll finish prepping the tank and fenders, settle on a color and get those painted.

Check the up & down play - spin it to bring the rods up, hold one firmly while you try to move the other up & down with your fingers, you don't have to yank on it , if you can't feel up & down play & the wheels spin OK you are good to go . Eastcoast Jim

Here's an update. I just spent the day installing my "new" top end. I'm almost ready to fire her up and can't wait.

Many thanks to Johnjzjz in NJ who did an amazing job. If you need anything done, he is simply a great guy to work with and has an unbelievable level of knowledge, skill, and experience.

Good to hear that you've gotten this far, Nick! Good luck getting the rest of it together and hopefully it goes easy and well.

Keep us updated!

Ran the bike for the first time yesterday. It needs a carb adjustment, but runs really well. I'm very pleased.
