Can anyone help me here, i'm wondering if 80" jugs will fit onto a 74" engine with the 74" head, is it the same stroke as a 74", just looking to add a little more to it and get grab anew 80" setup cheapo????
Yes they will and of course you will have to match pistons to the new bore Now sometime down the road you should get a 43/4 stroker wheels and rods Now we have a 93CI stroker What an *** kicker this combo is !
they`ll fit fine,but you`ll have to run .060 74" pistons(3.5 bore).the 80" has a 4.25 stroke,so 80 pistons aint gunna work with a 74" lower end(unless you want about 5.0-1 compresion)

I ran a 61 CI bottom end with 74 CI cyls on my knuck for 5 years and I was able to kickstart the bike with my arm ! (paying for that now ) Loooow compression Finally did an S&S 80 CI bottom end What a difference ! Did low compression pistons so I could still start it by hand But got too old and weak to use that arm starting method What a difference in power ! As I remember with the orig 61 bottom end with 74 cylinders at TDC the pistons were a 1/4 in from the top of the cylinders !
