I appreciate all of your help, I was messing with the shovel today, for some reason I think the cam may have been installed incorrectly, I'm assuming that I line up the notch on the plate with the grooves on the inside cover, and I get nothing until I advance it all of the way and it will fire up,( I also noticed electronic ignition has less for timing adjustment)but it won't ping and it holds back between 40 to 50 mph then runs good, if any of this makes sense to let me know, I'm just guessing I'm gonna run out in a little bit and grab the gaskets I need, thanks again, Mark
Are you looking at the cam and breather gear?

a hesitation like your talking about could also be the intermediate jet being to small.

I pulled the cam cover yesterday, everything lined up, so I used my dremel and opened up the timing slots a little bit more so I can get a little more advance out of it, and changed my main jet from a 72 down to 70, and the bike runs great, cranks over on the first kick and no hesitation on the bad side I'm unable to use my brand new electronic ignition, but I figure I'll leave well enough alone, thanks for all your help!

Dumaine,
I see for both FL and FX models there is shown only one wire to each turn indicator. It is my guess that the older turn signals ground through the light assembly housing so only one wire went to them. The newer light assemblies use two wires (for a single filament bulb) with one being a ground wire to ensure a good ground back to the bike's frame. Are you using newer light assemblies than the original ones for your bike?

I don't see the passing lights on the wiring diagram so they must be add-ons that aren't part of the original wiring. Tracing the wires for power and ground for the lamps are all I can think of.

The Pass light toggle switch should be on the back of the Nacelle facing you on the right side. Is that what your looking for ?

Thanks guys, I got the passing lights working, bad solder joint on the switch, was hard to see...
I will try the rear turn lights when I get the headlight housing and bars back together... I dont need the rear turn lights, not sure if its legal in Louisiana without them, but I have them and want 'em on...
thanks again
