Default circuit breaker

I replaced my chargimg system from a 17 amp system to a 32 amp system. Do i need to put a 32 amp circuit breaker in.

I would, this is the one between the pos post on the battery and the regulator.

Yes I was test driven after I got my bike back together. tested it around the block at day time no problem, went to drive at night got a block away and bike shut down, coasted bike started fired up headed back to put it up and shut down again, coasted bike fired up got home. Could that be the problem?

Sounds like a short or defective circuit breaker. That it only happened at night makes me think you may have a problem with the lighting circuit. Make sure all your connections are tight and no wires are worn through. Places to check for bad wires is between the battery box and oil tank, near the clutch arm, near the neck post and fork stops, under the handlebar switch housings.

I rewired the whole bike with all new wire and took out all the secondary circuit breakers and wired were everything goes to main breaker

If you short out when you hit the lights, and I am assuming your lights are on the dash, get a inner tube and cut it out to fit over the connections on the key/light switch..plus check your ground, pull ita nd sand the landing spot hombre..i just enjoy the myriad of challnges old iron tossses at yaaaaaa..ruben

I fixed it. I had to up grade to a 50 amp breaker when i up graded my charging system. Had original circiut breake. Wont work eith new charging system. Thanks for all the input.
