Here is a comparison with a current ad in Canada. Keeping in mind the dollar is almost par...I'd say you may have a good deal. Prices are higher up here.

a rolling chassis up here is advertised for $3500.

I'd say around 5-5500 would be a fair price for it, if it runs good, etc. JMHO, YMMV, etc.

I think a better question than is worth of X 000 is : Is it 1975 really? Perhaps papers are from '75, propably frame too and if you are lucky, engine also.

But everytihinge else could be from '70 -'00 or even later. Nothing looks like '75 - so if you want a bike for your birth year, forget this one - it doesn't matter, what the price is.

Keep looking and you'll find somewhere a real 1975 Harley and then the price is not the question number one!

 

If you like it, and show up with $6500.00 and he won't except, face it, he can keep it!
