I have a FXB with gold wheels and gold emblems...no orange on the bike. Can someone give me information on this "gold" series and how many were made?

 

check out the pics in my garage. I have an original red and gold metalflake sturgis (see pic of tins in storage). The gold rims were on the brown sturgis of 82 and 83 and also on the 49 factory customs made in 82...the red with gold maple leaf version being one...Iève personally seen three including mine. You can search google images for red sturgis fxb and you will find only one pic, without the backrest.

 

golds are for canadian import , and not as many wre built from what i understand , cant find numbers though.

 

According to Donny Petersons Unauthorized Technical Guide on Shovels there were about a total of 1830 FXB Surgis models (last year for them) produced for 1982 and they featured higher handlebars and came with gold cast wheels (19 on front; 16 on rear).
