Default Carb adjustment/blue flame out of exhaust

So my 75 FXE was idling a little high (high enough to give me issues taking off) so I fiddled with the idle speed and mixture screws and got it to idle down to a much better level (best it's ever run.) I experienced some popping on decel but not too heavy, been riding a few days now and popping is more pronounced as well as blue flames... As well as it dying if it sits for a moment at "idle" (idle slows more and more like it's not getting gas then dies if I don't keep wracking the throttle.)

Opinions/ideas? Instructions on what I might do to make Betty happy again are greatly appreciated (twist this, poke that)

As always you guys are the best!

Thank you admins for the birthday wishes!!!

Check inside the venturi of the carb, while the engine is running, for seepage around the main discharge nozzle or the accelerator pump discharge nozzle.

What cam and what jetting?
