RE: 1968 Hydra Glide
Well, being the **** guy that I am often accused of being: It's not a Hydra-Glide, but an Electra-Glide. Hydra ran from 1949 thru 1957. Duo-Glide ran from 1958 thru 1964. Electra-Glide started in 1965 with a pan motor, and Shovel motor in 1966.
What type of restoration are you planning? Are you looking for parts sources, or general info?
A supposedly good overall view of HD bikes is the Standard Catalog of Harley-Davidson Motorcycles. It's pretty broad and might be of limited help, though. Clymer publishes a repair manual for '66 - '84 Shovels. Also, try looking for Bruce Palmer's How to Restore Your Harley-Davidson.

RE: 1968 Hydra Glide
what kind of information????? Do you need advise on how-to's?????? Cost?????? If you are going to restore a '68 Electra-glide you will need a genuine H.D. Parts Manual and Service Manual for that year to start with,,,,not clymers or hayes,,,,I have found that they don't compare,,,,
It's easy to remake a 68,,,,,,It's harder to restore a 68,,,,,,
What's on your mind?????????????????????????????????????????
