Picked up this '81 for a song. Needed a clutch and front m/c.

3,335 original miles.
Arizona box A title from 1978.
frame, paint and Goodyear tires appear almost new.
looks all original except seat, sissybar and pipes which are period correct.

any hints or tips on verification would be greatly appreciated.

also, how do I post decent pics?

 

Slight progress today, got the rear fender painted and cleared and got the tanks painted, decals installed and went out for clear coat. I shall have the pieces ready tomorrow to assemble back on the bike. I had to bring the tins and installed back on the bike in order to install the decals.

picked this up in late June.
1976 FLH.
I owned the bike in the mid/late 90's. Gave it away to my ex in our divorce.
15 years later, I got it back.
Been doing a lot of work on it since I got it back.
The ex had it painted purple. I'm going back to black.

 

Started a teardown already on this 1975 FX-1200 bike. Biggest concern that I have should I leave the "Forking by Frank" front suspension that is bit longer than stock or replace with stock that I have. I really dig the longer tubes though.........

 

just got her together after several months. fired right up
