American Made 6-Pole Ignition Switch For Fat Bobs
Anybody know of any American made 1936-1995 6-Pole HD ignition switches for fat bobs?
Alternatives?
a couple of known OEM H-D Part Numbers are:
71501-73
71501-73T
All I have been able to find so far is made in Taiwan or made in fricking Japan ...
I have been through 3 of these POS's; they are made out of some kind of pot metal that metal fatigues extremely easily & quickly compared to the OEM switches from the motor factory...
thanks in advance.

Unless you find a NOS switch you are not going to find a current American made version.
The 71501-73T switch. The T stands for Tiawan so even the factory switched to foreign made parts. In the 70's, Harley started farming out their parts to Japan, Tiawan, Mexico and Italy. The Dealership I used to buy from used to let me root through the parts bins to find the last of the American made components.
The six pole switch was used on 73 and later models the earlier switch was a 5 pole.
