On my 73 i have super E and upgraded ignition with Crane Cams electronic ignition set-up (which S&S owns now) and i swear i dont even have to choke it, crack the throttle 3 times and hit start button, starts up and runs nice in all-temp/speeds..

Weber is the best you can get but they are expensive and hard to set up. S&S are over rated and over priced. Mukuni is good hard to beat but also expensive. My opinion the best Carb for all around performance and price is the CV easy to install and setup and give you best performance throughout the entire spectrum of the motors range

your bottom sucks. Yeah a CV or Mukuni could do that. not sure if that is ignition or fuel fluttering but if you smooth that out you'll prob get another 4-8hp. unless you're drag racing only what good it topend only performance? most riding is between 1500 and 3K

It's the pipe.... Dude..... RB pies are not known for their bottom end...

And NO most riding is not done between 1500 n 3000 rpm. You lug it at 1500 and you'll have more problem than you'd like.

LOL I don't lug at 1500 you lug at 1500. i can run 30mph in 5th and have a strong smooth acceleration and yet I turn around 3500 at 75mph on a CV. The Harley rumble that people like and want happens below 3K Very few go around red lining on a regular bases. the average Harley turns around 3K at 70mph

The B can be rebuilt and run fine - it does stick out a bit. I have a B on my 80 FXB and an E on the 89 FLHTCU. S&S is just too easy to tune and maintain compared to others.
