not clear in either of my manuals...

the coil obviously mounts in a bracket at the top of the back side of the front down tube. question: do the plug wire leads point down or up?

maybe a dumb question but the different positions seem to require different sparkplug wire lengths as well as 90º ends to jive with where the wires plug in.

this is a curse i'm discovering is normal when acquiring a "project" in boxes...
some parts fall into place and others you have to scratch your head and say wtf. ;-)

Stock coil had the plug wires pointed straight forward, not up or down.

 

thanks Bill...here is what I have and where it has to go. (btw ignore position of the electronic module, after hiding it I realized I put it in a bad spot.)

 

the coil is correct for an FLT and the module mounts on the left foward of the gas tank on the neck side flat panel dont forget to ground it
