Need help on removal of fuel tank on 79 FLH

Default Need help on removal of fuel tank on 79 FLH

Please advise

Drain tank disconnect the fuel lines. Remove dash panel, If you have a choke, remove the ****, remove the speedometer reset ****, remove the nut that the choke cable goes through. You have one bolt in front of the panel and two below the panel holding it to the frame. You have the last bolt on the front lower frame. Hold onto the tank when you remove the last bolt.

A tip for when re-installing tank. Shim with washers where needed instead of pulling tank brackest tight to frame. Can save you leaks in the future. Good luck.
