I am looking for the correct seat post to buy for my 1971 Electra Glide. I have ordered a parts book, but have not received it yet. My bike only has the hole for a post to fit in and I hate to buy the wrong thing. I need to know what is the correct post and do I need the "T" adapter and then the seat of my choice? I want to have the old original solo seat look. Thank you very much for your help.

 

You need seat post assembly 51610-58 for riders 150-220lbs, 51614-58 for over 220. If you are going to use the stock solo seat you will need the T bar 51900-30 and the associated mounting hardware.
