Default Which oil cooler

Hi there,

Which oil cooler is to be recommended for a '76 74ci shovelhead?
Or even better; which ones do I have to avoid?

Thanks in advance.

Kind regards,

Sietse

whatever one you get -- better make sure it doesn't have any blast media left in the inside -- seen many of them with a huge "puff" of sand come out of a NEW cooler..

Your part of the world you don't need one honestly , oil coolers are a benefit only if the bikes in temps over 95F regular . Unless your trying to increase the oil capacity don't waste the money .

Ran a Lockhart since new on this. Rigth in front of the front rocker box. I used the original HD cover it came with for when temps are cool. That was my thermostat. IMHO it was good medicine on those long hot days.

Thanks a lot for your reactions. And maybe in this part of Europe it 's not that hot, but going south it can be (very) hot.

Kind regards,

Sietse
