Ok yesterday the damn old girl puked oil 3 times on me on e when driving down the road which is very dangerous especially when it does it all over the rear tire. And the other two times in friends driveways. One driveway being brand new just poured last month. So I got to thinking has anyone tried to make a overflow container of some sort To catch the oil. Or do you think it could be done I think what I done was put in to much oil it was very embarrassing if there was a container or trap of some sort to catch it I realize this will also have to be vented. What are your thoughts and do you think something like this will work if no ones done it or if someone has done it did it work.

 

I don't know why you couldn't I have to use a catch can for oil for the vacuum pump on my race car a person does have to remember to drain it every so often or your right back to oil everywhere. I would suggest finding out why it is puking the oil and take care of that.
How I determine the oil level on a new build or bike if having issues it to put the bike on a jiffy lift with the bike level. check to see the bike is ready to run, oil lines all correct no kinks or blockages. run the engine making sure oil is retuning to the oil bag. run it to operating temp. check the oil and add or drain to 1/2 qt below full.
