Default lost pieces

I almost had a lost frame/bike years ago with this! I ended up involving the law (that is an undertaking in itself for me in those days) and finally took it back in pieces. another story... It has basically been all backtogether now for a few. Actually just took it on a 5 state primitive camp trip too (great!).
Now on to my question: I am in the process of replacing my mechanical regulator with the end electronic, (67fl). So I have this ugly 3 post bracket now.... I remember I used to have like a big voltage regulator cover OVER the entire voltage regulator (cover and all). It had like 2 big post type sockets that I had to screw on/off for the piece o chrome to attach to. I searched and I cannot find anything like it, just the actual VR cover. Pretty sure it was on OEM? Any ides about it? I was thinking I could use it as a little stash box and cover up that ugly....

Yes the regulator cover was OEM and are hard to find, even the chrome cover screws are nearly impossible to get. I found one on e-bay but that was a few years ago. As an alternative you could use a 70 and latter battery box that doesn't have the regulator bracket and save your original in case you want to restore it in the future.
