Well, they attach to the frame on both mounting points so couple of thoughts...
Are they the stock crash bars or aftermarket? If aftermarket perhaps they were not properly made (wrong angles at some point)
At the bottom mounting point there is one part of the crash bar that comes real close to the swing arm. Any chance they were making contact with the swing arm?
Your pic shows only the crash bar. Do you have the saddlebag bars attached to the crash bars? If so the right and left sides are connected by a piece that sits under the rear fender. Excessive vibration + too tight parts fitment.
Left side broke a week prior. Did you replace it with a new one? If you did not and have the saddlebag guard rails I could see the stress + vibration taking out the right crash bar.
Lastly, any chance the frame could be cracked on the rear down tube that connects the upper and lower part of the frame?
