Default Primary assistance

I'm new to building bikes, or anything mechanical for that matter.
I need help with the primary assembly and all the necessary components.

Currently have a '78 80" shovel head motor with a 4 speed ratchet top trans.

What is everything needed to run and belt driven open primary?
Sorry for the amateur question...thanks for the help

Kick only? You'll just need pulleys and a belt. Can add an adjustable rod to keep tension.

If it has electric start, then you need a lot more. Just look at the aftermarket kits from BDL or Rivera

Someone smarter will chime in with more based on what you have for starting

If kick only just buy the " kit " from primo or bdl. It'll have the clutch hub engine drive pulley belt and all necessary hardware.

The same companies also offer an electric start kit as well
