Default 74 exhaust true duels over priced

I know this is not the place to rant, but I really got to get this off my chest. Im in retail so I totally understand markup, supply and demand but here is something that just irks me. Im looking for a set of head pipes for my 74. I have the stock crossover set up and I don't like it. Solution is to go to true duel head pipes to eliminate the cross over. Simple enough, so I start looking around. Lots of Aftermarket parts around. For those of you who shy away from those products, I look at it this way. They entire system is hidden with heat shields anyway so who cares if they are not heavily plated as would hopefully be with OEM if in fact there were OEM true duels from HD. To get to my rant, every place I look im looking at about $375-$475. Then I check Jireh Cycle and the same pipes from Paugho is a hundred bucks complete. I have called them three times to verify it is the same exact head pipe kit as what you would get from JP and all the others. You know im all for buying local and such but at one quarter of the price, someone is getting screwed here with all the others charging 3-5 hundred and its not the dealers but us. Only problem is they are out of stock until August so I either have to wait or get it dry and hard from these others.

"Collusion is an agreement between two or more parties, sometimes illegal and therefore secretive, to limit open competition by deceiving, misleading, or defrauding others It is an agreement among firms or individuals to divide a market, set prices, limit production or limit opportunities."

Just a rant, sorry guys but this just ain't right.

Have you asked if Jireh has them in stock? I can't remember what part I was looking for but when I ordered it they didn't have it and didn't know when if ever they would have it. Could be the same deal if the part is way cheaper from them. Let us know how this turns out.

pjb, look at the link above. Clearly states that but I will call them none the less myself for the fourth time.

Off shore parts these be. They admitted they no longer sell Paughco. Again for my app, all mine are covered by heat shields anyway so I don't mind if they are offshore as long as they fit and at least a single pipe per cylinder can be jockied around slightly without the restriction of the other .
