Trying to decide on which rear shocks to go with
I know I'm going to get a lot of different opinions on this. But I have a 2014 Ultra Classic and mostly ride 2up. I want to get rid of the stock air shocks and put a good set of heavy duty shocks on. I'd like to know if anyone is running Progressives 412-4077b or the 944-4020ut and what made you choose one over the other? I've also heard a lot about the Ohlins and was at my local dealer and checked out the Legends Revos. I was told the Legends have a lifetime warranty and are made in America. Ohlins and Legends are a little more money but if they're worth it then that's not an issue. Thanks in advance for your opinions and experiences. Ride safe my friends!

I had my Öhlins HD 357's installed on my 2015 Road Glide CVO, at Destination Daytona by Öhlin for $1,500, last Bike Week.
I figure it's better to get it right the first time and not chance another replacement, paying twice. Once you have the best shocks, you can always take them off for a trade, providing you have kept the original stock shocks, and install them on your new bike.

Are you kidding me freaking $1500 bucks for two rear shocks? Thankfully i have zero issues with the HD Premium Adjustable shocks that came with the bike stock. Smooth as butter on fair to well maintained roads. Think i'll buy a HD Hammock for a Xmas present to make it even better! Defining something as best is a matter of personal opinion. Ride safe!
2. Some riders have very candied asses and need that much comfort. I'm being a smartass but that price is just stupid. I'd love to know the labor charges.
I'd like to see a head to head with Ohlins and Revo-A

32,000 miles riding on the stock air shocks that came on my '14 Road King. On the way home from Sturgis doin about 80 loaded and 2up the bike got real wishy-washy in a turn with some rough pavement. WTF moment. My air in the shocks had gone from max to about 30ish. Put on the HD premium ride shocks and wow, nice upgrade and never have to worry about losing air on a hard days ride.

I believe Howard sells these for around $1,900 + tax without installation.
Yes they maybe an over kill to some, but so is my V-12 Bi-Turbo Benz.
