Question 1995 EVO FXD, compatibility among ECMs ?

Hello all,

I had many weeks ago started a thread "stalls when hot" expaining my predicament with a carburetted 1995 EVO Dyna.
Fully stock engine, no mods whatsoever, not even the ubiquitous Stage 1.

I came to replacing the crank position sensor in the nosecone, the coil and even checking the fuel vapor vent in the fuel cap...

I thought I had solved the problem but I evidently didn't, much to my chagrin, because yesterday, in thick, slow traffic, she conked out again.
No power to the plugs - I tested them and no power.

So now I'm looking at replacing the ECU/ECM (ignition module)
My 7-pin ignition module reads ... ..."32464 - 95 // REV 1340 - 9508"
I can only find 8-pin modules, so I must buy a 8 =>7 pin adapter off the web.

OR

I have also found 2nd hand, 7-pin "Screaming Eagle" ECMs marked 32421-85B rated 8000rpm off US-based eBay sellers - compatible ?

Please help, the bike is a good runner provided the weather is cool and I don't sit in traffic too long...

Dynatek makes an ignition module with a 7 pin connector.
Not sure how it does it but the Dynatek makes starting your bike much easier than either the stock or SE module.

Thank you,

unfortunately, by the time I checked, the item had already been sold.

It may be worth using that part number for a search on Ebay Italy. The item above was actually located in the UK, and along with most of the European countries we also have an Ebay site here. I must confess, however, that I buy most of my secondhand Harley parts from Ebay USA, where enough dealers and sellers will export to make it worthwhile. Import taxes etc can be quite high, but there are big savings to be had on the original purchase price.

Hello, Yes, I am aware of ebay, the problem being I have only found ECMs with the orange 8-pin plug.

As for Customs, Duty&Excise, I am familiar with them all ...

Does the 95 international model dyna have a voes? If so I don't see why you couldn't use the eight pin module and just splice your connector in. I Believe the wiring color code is the same. Even tho my module uses the 8 pin connector it's still a 7 wire module.
