The .gov has a different take on what is considered US Made than what we do.

I was looking for a new EDC knife this weekend and virtually every one I saw was made somewhere other than the US. Even Buck, who is one of the giants, has almost everything made in China now. Sad when you can't even get a good ol made in the USA Buck knife anymore.

I am close to calling BS on this. BUck might have some cheap chinese ones. But what I do like about buck is they are still making decent price American knives.

I have no problem finding American knives. Many of Kershaws are.

The food we ordered from Peking Palace last night was made in America.

Randall, Chris Reeve, Microtech, Stryder, Emerson etc. Gerber, Benchmade and others have govt contracts and those are made in usa also.

I had parts on my 1989 Sportster that were made in Japan so it's been going on for quite some time.

I wonder if other countries complain about stuff being "made in America"?

There have been jap parts on Harleys for decades, starting in the early 70's most the electrical systems, gauges, starters and suspensions have been made overseas.
Beginning in the 80's wheels and a lot of the sheet metal parts are made overseas.

Quit your whining.

And before that, most of the lighting was made in Italy. The first Japan parts I saw were on the '73s -the "Showa" front fork assembly. Buying parts at the dealer? Most boxes say right on them"made in China"
