My 02 Electra Glide wont turn over, Starter comes out and tries to turn over but clicks. I did a voltage test on the battery, starts at 12.63 when you hit the button it dropped down to 6.00. I replaced the starter so I know its good. What do I check, what is/could be wrong?

or bad/loose cables.

also ensure that starter is getting a good ground through the mounting bolts.

some rubbermount models have a grounding strap between the inner primary and the frame- if that goes, the clutch cable may become the ground

if you want, take out the battery & charge with a charger overnight at a 3 amp to 5 amp charge rate- load test at autoparts store.

if duff, many of us use the big crank from batterymart

My 2000 Ultra was less than a year old when I had this issue.
I was in Canada and it took the dealer over an hour of trouble shooting to find that the bolt the connects the ground cable to the inner primary wasn't tight enough.
