Default Fire/Peace/Shrine

when i bought my 2013 Road King the dealer was giving information to my insurance company so i could get a binder to enable me to ride it home. he mentioned to him it was a shrine model. the paper work form them says = Fire/Peace Shrine. i didnt go into detail with him about, to excited about getting it. does anyone know exactly what all this means.

Yep, Fire/Peace Officer and Shrine bikes have a vin number identifying them as such. I had to hold my insurance agent by the hand over my vin, they though I had a police patrol bike, then a CVO. I don't have my service manual with me to break it down, but I can get back to you if you want.

Each year HD makes a fire fighter/peace office edition in special colors and with a special badge on the inner faring. You have to show you are a public service professional to buy one.

Other than that a standard bike . My last bike was a used POE and it was nice to have the special badge. Real nice to have the special paint as it was very rare.

You have to show you are a public service professional to buy one ... While that may be protocol, I have a friend who is NOT and he's on his third new Fireman's Edition.

im not a public service pro. as for special paint, well its black. the man that originally owned it i dont know. his back was messed up so he traded it in on a trike. the fairing that came with it he had installed a month before, its a Hoppe. they all made a big thing about him paying $1800.00 for it just a while back, then to trade it in after spending all that money on it.

I bought my '06,FLHTC_SHRN[so says the title] used, from a private owner. It is the FF edition. The previous owner is a FF,and he had bought a '13 FF edition,to replace the '06 .They are both the same "real red" color.
I removed the 'firefighter' emblems, because I am not a firefighter.
Basically what you have is a regular Road King, with some 'peace officer' emblems, and an expensive aftermarket fairing. Thhe only you may see as to 'shriner',is possibly the 'shrn' under 'model',on your title.

If I'm not mistaken, Shrine editions always came in white or purple with a special tank badging. That's what makes them different. For the police or FF, they had special pinstripe colors for those editions and always in solid colors.
