Default I can't drive 55

Anyone have any recommendations for a good fuzz buster for a loud motorcycle. I know that I would never be able to hear the ones that I have in my cars, and the lights are so small that I would never see them in time to do me any good. Is there a good one out there that is loud enough or bright enough to use on a bike. I don't have a blue tooth helmet, but if there is not a good loud bright one, is there a blue tooth fuzz buster that worth having.

If you have a way to mount your phone to your bike you can use an app called waze. On the app it will give you the ability to see cops ahead as well as notify you by voice command. great thing is it works everywhere you have your phone.

I can tell you two things about radar detectors/fuzzbusters. Most of the radar units these detectors can detect, like the KR-10s and Eagles are being used less and less often. LIDAR or "laser" is becoming much more common. There are detectors that can detect LIDAR, but the LIDAR units are so focused and so quick that by the time your detector alerts, the cop already has you. VASCAR is still used, mostly by aircraft. No detectors can pick up VASCAR because it's visual. Think of it as a cop using a stop watch.

The second thing... If a traffic officer stops you for speeding, and happens to see a detector on your bike or in your car, you can expect that he will not accept any excuses (even good ones), and no breaks will be given. Most cops feel that having detector demonstrates prior intent to break the law.

Poor Man's RADAR detector:
Watch the cars in front of you. (1/4 mile or more)
Some cagers seem to ALWAYS hit their brakes when they pass a cop on the side of the road, whether they're speeding or not.
Works for me.

With Instant On LIDAR, your detector indication will just be letting you know to work your way to the side of the road.

+1 for Waze, particularly if you're riding more heavily travelled roads. Not perfect, but probably get warnings 3 out of 4 times. Haven't used a radar detector in a long time, but in my experience more often than not by the time it went off, it was too late. Waze gives you a half mile warning.

Anti-radar countermeasures are only one part of situational awareness. Cops will issue fraudulent citations. Your eyes and traffic sense are just as important. Had a Valentine One since my truck was new twenty-five years ago, in that time and some half-million miles never received one citation and I'm an old road race driver. That being said I have a battery-powered Escort Solo for the motor. I like it.

My situation is, I live in North Dakota. When I'm on the highway, there is very little traffic to be on the look out for. I like to crack the throttle and run a minimum of 80, and when the conditions are right 100 is a good cruising speed. When I'm in my car, I can and do watch as far ahead as I can see. I watch for any brake lights or flashing lights anywhere ahead of me. I watch and I run a fuzz buster, I also slow down when coming up behind a car and while passing him, and I also slow down before meeting any cars that I can not clear (as not being a cop). That being said, I rarely drive below 80 and often drive at 100 and I still have a clean driving record, (Knock on wood). While riding my bike, the wind, the noise, the vibrations, and looking through a not perfectly clear lens, I have a hard time seeing what I need to see far enough ahead to save me tickets. I feel a fuzz buster will help tremendously in preserving my license. The problem with any fuzz buster that I've ever had, is that I wouldn't be able to hear it over the sound of my Harley, and the tiny little flashing red light would never be seen in time to help. If it's not out there already, somebody needs to develop a buster that can ride in a compartment (where it wont get stolen), with an antenna or sensor pointed forward, (permanently mounted would be great). It also needs a light that can be mounted to the windshield or where ever you want it, that is large enough to catch your attention quickly. In addition to that, it needs an ear piece that can be helmet mounted or blue toothed to an intercom system. That would also keep it from being obvious to cops and thieves. IS THERE ANY SUCH DETECTOR OUT THERE.
