Arrow How many of you have removed your highway bars? Pics

I have a '16 RGS and I am considering eliminating my highway bars. I believe someone told me there is a product replacement that will fit in its place to still provide the stability of the blinkers/fairing on my bike.

Anyone have this setup? Before/after pics and which product you have, where you bought it and price? Thanks.

NOTE: when going on a really long ride or trip I can always put the HB back on.

Been thinking about this, too. Would miss highway footrests.

If you get the chopped engine guard for the Road Glides from Harley, they include a simple piece of tubing to support the fairing.

I don't know if you could get the piece separately or not, but it only adds $10 to the cost of the guard so it shouldn't be too expensive if you can.

I have a 15RGS and I removed my highway bars for a little while. I used the Yaffe stealth fairing brace. Worked fine with no issues but eventually I put the crash bar back on after I got it powdercoated and added highway pegs.

Looks great without them engine guards on.

When accidentally tipping big tour rig on its side, LOOKS BETTER afterwards when engine guards, bag guards on!!!!

Plus, I prefer my lower fairings and High-way pegs on my touring Rig.

I removed the fugly rear crash bar and when I switch to forward controls for summer riding, I will remove the front crash bar, now I just need to have $1000 fall into my lap without the other half knowing about it.

Anyone vertically challenged like me will keep 'em on - it is possible to come to love 'em after a few static drops.....
