Default RAM 1/4-20 Female Threaded Hex Hole with 1" Ball - RAM-B-337U

Anyone know if this will replace the nut on the bottom of the mirror stem? I had to take my RAM mount that goes into the mirror out so the mirror could mount in the hole but would like to stick this on the bottom to replace the acorn nut that came with it. The specs look to be standard, guess I'll see what the ones on the mirror are.

That ball is threaded 1/4-20. I believe the mirrors are threaded 5/16-24.

The acorn nut (7331) on the mirror is 5/16-24.
You need Ram Mount part number: RAM-B-358U

Thanks, I found the thread specs and eventually found that RAM ball but can't really use it to hold on the mirrors without a hex head or something for a wrench to grab on to.

I don't like the Ubolt setup so am going with the RAM Mounts (RAP-B-400U) Small Tough-Claw so I can take it off when not using.

I use a RAM-B-309-1U Motorcycle Brake/Clutch Reservoir Base with 1" Ball on my bike. Since I also have the HD Hand-Held CB Microphone Kit, with the microphone bracket mounted on the clutch reservoir base, this RAM mount works great or me.

I also like using the Ram Mount for my EZ-Pass. What I do is as follows:
1. Place EZ-Pass in a Kuryakyn 4124 Universal Accessory Pouch
2. Attach a Ram Mount RAM-B-347U is the accessory pouch
3. Attach accessory pouch to Brake/Clutch reservoir base with a Ram Mount RAM-B-201U-A double socket arm

This setup allows me to easily attach or remove my EZ-Pass. I only keep the EZ-Pass attached when I know I am going to be using it. Otherwise I keep it in my tour-pak to prevent a deplorable from taking it.

You could file flats on either side of the ferrule giving you a grip surface for a wrench. Also that 1/4-20 ball looks like it has enough meat to allow you to drill and tap it to 5/16-24.

I use these on the the road glide and bought the chromed version for my wife's CVO fat bob. They look clean and install easily.
