Default floorboard interchange

My 08 Road King has a Police solo seat and no provision for a passenger. Not that I ever carry one, but you never know......................

I understand that the Mustang pillion pad is a common approach for her butt, but what to do for the pegs/boards?
What years interchange with the 08 frame?

My rider boards are severely ground down so if I run across a F&R matching CVO set I am interested in front board comparability as well

the rear floorboards are common and some of the mount parts date to 1983- the first year for your frame
- or you can get streetglide pegs.

both ways cheap and easy

so the pre 09 frame only for the boards?
There is a lot of parts required!

Pegs seem easy HD# 50198-97B mount which HD parts list confirms 93 to date but in chrome

you should look at the forum classifieds as well- some of the members are in Canadia, so that helps with shipping/customs.

many of us sit on parts- I have a set of boards AND pegs I'm hanging onto just in case I sell the bike- or decide to pull the cop seat and put on the ultra seat

Also take a look on Ebay for secondhand parts, having checked the link Mike gave for part numbers for the footboard assemblies - available from around $100 complete.

I'm not sure if it's still necessary, but you used to have to change the rear tire also on solo police bikes when setting them up to ride 2 up.

you may want to check if your '08 is one of them (although I would suspect that in the last 8 years you changed tires once and probably went with a tire that is ok)

Good point but I just bought Michelin Commander ll and IIRC their rating was almost that of the bike - per tire

While the part numbers and look of the pre and post 09 rear board mounts are different, are they interchangeable?

Fleabay descriptions would suggest that this is the case, but I would like to hear it from someone in the know
