I am considering changing to 17 inch Chrome Contrast Impeller Wheels from the standard brushed finish on the 19 inch Enforcers that I have now. Any feedback/opinions on how the chrome finish holds up.

 

Chrome contrast is the standard wheel finish on Limited bikes for a few years now. Don't know of any issues. Easier to clean and maintain as well. JMO...

 

Well worth the change. The standard finish wheels are ugly.

 

I bought some last year (takeoffs), they look great and much better than the standard finish. Chrome is holding up nice.

 

Why not have your Enforcers Chromed?

 

Those chromed Enforcers do look great. The reason for my change is that I want the 16in beefier front tire achieved the Impeller wheel. Hoping to have a little bit of a smoother ride as well from what some have claimed having the extra rubber.

Don't mean to rain on your parade, but my Limited rear wheel started peeling the chrome at around 11K miles. Got it covered under warranty, but now a bit nervous if it will crop up again. Not sure why the peeing happened the first time.
Front, no problems.

As a side-note. I also have a chrome 19" Agitator on the shelf I could sell you if needed.
Sport Chrome with PM calipers and Ride Nice ABS Enforcer wheel spacers and axle covers.
