Default getting less vibration can it be done

since my hands are crap, they frezz when cold or vibration

would taking the engine apart and getting the the crank flywheel and piston´s balance together help??? i really dislike the vibration between 4200-5000rpm right where the interstate speed is and my 2 biddies ride a night rod and a street bob 103.
can you get other motormounts???

it seems that a friend´s 2016 has less vibration and his has same exhaust as me???

what to do
regards
Sören

These worked for me.

https://www.vibranator.com/

Or put a Hammer basic 1250 kit in it. Harley uses the same flywheels and rods for both the 883 and 1200. They balance both the same, right between the 883 piston weight and the 1200 piston weight. Hammer makes their 1250 pistons to the in between weight that Harley balances to. My bike was much smoother after the 1250 build.

There are a number of "fixes" Vibranator, Bar Snakes ... Try a loser grip on the bars and/or Gel Palm gloves or starters.

a non-vibrating sporty is not an option. dampening, maybe
  • try the silly snake-oil remedies
  • fatter touring style rubber grips-https://www.phatperformanceparts.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=CCI-CRUB-CRGRIPS&CartID=
  • dyna frontend on your conversion and use some bushings at the bars.
  • relax your kung-fu grip on the bars
  • get a honda shadow 750 or grom
  • accept that your are not riding a ridgid mount (2003 down) and be thankful that your bike is no rearranging your organs with REAL vibrations, lol.

both your biddies ride smoother bikes... the vrod is smooth as glass and the street bob has the smooth engine and squishy bushings at the base of the bar risers. apple to oranges. you are, basically, riding a chainsaw. that will change when you go 1200/1250

Not up to date on Sportsters ( my last one was a 1976 XLCH ) but ... Are there "optional" pulleys for the front and or rear to move your "sweet spot" ( rpm's ) around

My mirrors are clear all the way to 80. I had a Honda Shadow 750 once and my Sportster vibrates less.

Harley 1200 pistons are heavier that Hammer 1250 pistons. Harley 1200 pistons won't help balance. Check your motor mounts front and rear. Make sure they are torqued to spec. Make sure the drive belt is adjusted properly, not too tight.

Try a bigger front pulley to lower highway revs a bit, it will still vibrate a bit though. I like cvarias Honda idea too. To balance your flywheel and pistons is a waste of a lot of money, like thousands.
