a DIFFERENT possible trade...
ok, I posted the other day about trading for an older Electra Glide. Passed on that. Traded the truck for a jeep because I came out on the plus end. Got a guy wants to trade an '05 Electra Glide Ultra Classic with 32k miles for the jeep.
Only thing he admits to being wrong with it is says needs steering seals. What does that mean for short term riding it home etc....and how pricey to fix?

so apparently, he was talking about the seals on the Jeep....IT DOES have a leak on the power steering at the geerbox. He said there is nothing wrong on the Bike.
I think the Jeep is legit worth $7,500 and I can sell it for $6,500 or $7,000 cash in a day. I think the Bike is worth a little more....but I wonder how much harder to sell (seems less people ride than drive cars....even off road ones.)

You can sell the jeep now easier I think because it is winter. You can sell a bike easier in the summer. So if you do trade, even if you have to throw in as much cash it would take to fix the leak, it might be worth it. You can clean up the bike in the next couple months and sell it when the weather gets nice out.

If you are looking to flip, be easier to sell the Jeep than the bike, thought the bike may command more cash when sold.
On my book, -and by experience-, 3 things that are hard to sell and won't hold their value well, #1 being the the worst.
1-boats
2-RV
3-Motorcycles
Jeep Wranglers always on the top few of the list of vehicles that hold value.
Just my $.02
