Default FM 107 vs Revolution Perm. 107

I went to a couple of custom shops in NY and two uses either S&s or Revolution Performance. They didnt really know about Fuel Moto and Hillside uses Axtell. They did told me that revolution cylinders runs cooler than stock cylinders. I know 107 kit with Fuel Moto has a better bang for your buck due to a package deal with big bore kit and a Cam w/ instalation kit for $1200 total without headwork. Was trying to see if one is better than the other.

Why not just have Hillside bore your cylinders and buy a set of pistons. Has to be less expensive and likely better than buying a kit.

Agreed I think hillside had a deal going to do just that for about 600 bucks last year.

Its not that its that I have to pay to transport the bike there and back. Total cost will come out the more than taking the bike to the custom shop 20 minutes away.

I'm having the Rev. Pref. 107 kit installed with stage 3 head work at Prestige Customs in Elmsford. I have dealt with these guys for 20 years now, so if that's who they are using, thats who I'm using. The biggest reason being the cooling of the cylinders, because heat is the #1 enemy of these engines.

You should consider the 110 bolt in kit from Harley if you looking to buy jugs and pistons. The SE 585 cam that comes with the kit is about the best early torque building cam I have seen.
