Default rear bumper replacement

I hate the rear rubber bumper . Anyone using the Kuryakyn 7751
rear bumper led insert . I try to stay away from Kuryakyn , but
this is the only thing I can find to replace the bumper . Any other
ideas to replace it ?

I removed mine and just left the fender tip light, rewiring the light as brake light only rather than original run only.

I had the Kury LED Bumper Insert on my 09 Classic. After couple of yrs it stopped working because of water ingress.I called up Kury and within a week I received a new one in the mail,no charge. Before I installed the new one I put some sealant around the wires where they go through the housing, never had a problem with it.I liked the look of it,and I don't think I ever saw another bike with one.,also it had the run/brake function.I'd buy one again.

Thanks . Not seeing one on every bike you meet is one of the things drawing me to it .
Plus adding another light can't hurt . I run a H-D run - turn brake controller also .I
emailed Kuryakyn to make sure there would be no problems . They said it was ok .

Hi leadman,

I replaced the ugly bumper with the Küry 7751 insert and I like the look, but the fit wasn`t perfect and I had to shape it a little bit with a file.

Have a look at these pics:

Default Bumper eliminator bracket

I used the drag specialties version. Bad design, poor fit, very hard to install. The HD version looks like a much better design, having clipped corners, I'm guessing it would install easily. Last year, I paid 40 bucks for the DS bracket, unbeknownst to me, the HD bracket was 45 bucks. Sometimes we learn the hard way. Nice look though, cleans up the rear end a little better.

Yes it is. Good chrome and good fit, narrows up that overly wide turn signal.
