Question for Newer Low Rider and Wide Glide Owners
I've been thinking about getting a short hop bike that I can share w/my kid. We've been thinking about either a used late model WG or a Low Rider. We ruled out the Breakout as the riders box just doesn't agree with me. I really like the Low Rider as a good 'standard' type of bike. I rode both and like both. Heres my question..
The dealers seem to have ALOT of used Low Riders and Wide Glides at good prices. Is there something I should know that I'm not seeing? I've seen at least a dozen or more bikes with under 2k miles in perfect shape.
I appreciate the help and education. Our other '2nd bike' is an 04WG that will pass down to kid #2 and my main ride is a 17 RGU.
Thanks

I traded my Street Glide for a new Low Rider. Don't regret it at all. I think Dynas aren't selling, in northern Ohio where I live anyway, because everyone is into the "you gotta have a bagger" mode right now. So dealers are giving great deals on dynas around here. Like I said, I was able to trade my 2008 Street Glide with 26,000 miles on it for a brand new Low Rider, EVEN UP. There was no cash involved, Just a simple title swap. And my Low Rider with forward controls is more comfortable, and fun, than the three baggers I used to own. It's a great do-it-all motorcycle. I throw on a QD windshield, a set of bags, and I've toured on it quite comfortably. If you can find a nice WG or LR at a good price, jump on it. JMHO

Agreed. As far as I know I've got the only Dyna within about 50 miles. Don't think I've ever seen another one. Can't swing a dead cat without hitting a bagger, though. Also, a lot of people seem to go thru bikes for some reason. Maybe they just bought in because it was cool and they didn't fall in love with riding? TONS of good used bikes out there.
