Default Motor is painted *PICS*

Well I had been throwing the idea of painting the motor on the dyna FXDI I love my bike but hated that blonde/gray that was all over my motor made everything look kinda cheap when my bike was sitting next to some bikes with blacked out motors, so I did a little researching and found the wrinkle black paint sold at the HD dealership and my bike turned out great, I am more than happy with it

That looks sick! I agree with you on the gray. Nothing better looking than black and chrome. Anxious to see how well it holds up for you. Nice job.

Default Nice sets off the chrome

Mine done in a hammer tone grey black speck baked on tough as hell then barrels and heads diamond cut to off set color on motor. Like the texture that wrinkle finish gives. Ride Safe. Wild Bill

Took about 2 days, day 1 i got everything takin apart, taped off and laid some paint then I let it dry over night and sprayed an additional 2 coats along with a texture coat the 2nd day anyone that hates the gray look of their bike I would recommend doing this if you take the time and have the ambition id say do it overall only cost me 22.50 for paint and anther 7$ for the tape and plastic

that's looking good! I was thinking of just doing the edge of the motor "fins" on my FXRS. I decided against it being it is mostly stock.
