How many miles have you put on it?

I have been riding for 35 years (1979 to present). Have owned 8 street bikes from 1982 to present (3 Hondas, 2 Kawasakis, 2 Suzukis, and 1 Yamaha). Looking to transition from sport bikes to a cruiser. Have never owned a cruiser to date.

I went to a Demo Day event on Sat and rode three bikes. Was very impressed with the Low Rider. I like its looks and styling and that it has:

1. Dual front disk brakes
2. Tach
3. 103 CI motor
4. 6 speed transmission
5. Adjustable handlebars
6. Relatively low weight for a cruiser
7. Mid mount pegs instead of forward controls and floorboards

 

What were the other 2 that you demoed.

 

I have put about 2000 on my new lowrider and the bike just keeps getting better for me! I have had all different makes and models of bikes over the year's the first steetbike was a 1982 Honda cb750 nighthawk there was no looking back from their! This new lowrider feels like I have been riding it all my life! Don't see how you would be unhappy if you get one! Color might be the toughest thing about buying one! Imo

 

What are the color choices?

 

I've been riding 47 yrs. Have owned 4 Suzukis, 3 Hondas, 1 Yamaha, 1 Ducati, 1 BMW, and 1 Triumph. Never owned a cruiser before or a Harley before. Bought the new Low Rider 2 months ago. Have 1200 miles on it. I love it. Is perfect for the type of riding I currently do which is cruising around town, running errands and short day trips. It is not something I would want to ride cross country and it's not something to ride if you want to drag a knee. It's a perfect bike for my current type of riding.

First one I rode was a 48 and then a 1200T (the Sportster with the bags and wind screen). Liked both but then I tried the Low Rider.

 

Dobietrainer, I am in the same boat as you. I too have never owned a cruiser before or a Harley before. My riding consists of running errands and commuting to work (all short day trips). I do not tour and am not interested in touring. My rides last typically under 100 miles at most at any one time. I have been dragging a knee since 1991 on my various sport bikes and have had my fill.

I love sport bikes but at this point in my life, I want comfort.

 

The Low Rider is a very competent standard bike. Decent lean angle, great ergo's and great torque. For around town and hitting the back roads closer to home it is a blast. It compliments the '12 XL1200C in the garage.

 

Picked mine up last week and put 250 smiles on it. Sits like a softail and handles like a dyna. Best of both worlds.
