Default that was short… Deluxe Stolen! Advice?

i went to check on it Tuesday. Gone. no trace. parked in a 'secure' garage at my apartment. Funny thing is, there's a Street Glide CVO parked right next to it. untouched.

Question for the forum: Anyone have any tips on how to handle the insurance adjusters? things to say or NOT say?

Still in shock she's gone.

I hope you have a list and proof of all that you put into it.

I keep a list of all my add-ons along with up to date pictures.

As for the insurance, more than likely you only going to get the current blue book plus what else you can fight for.

Who are you insured with? If its Progressive you probably don't have much to worry about. You say it was in a secure garage, but we're the forks and ignition locked? They may ask about that. Also, did you have your personal security code set, I.e. not the dealer code. You ought to have answers for those..

Sorry about your bike. I hate thieves and they should be sumerially shot, no questions asked..

DON'T say the above even if you feel it's so.

If you mean what I said, I agree. I didn't make it clear, but yes say nothing, but have an answer if asked. Kind of like, being I a secure area .... If you mean getting a new bike,,, that too.

Not your comment... His about getting a 2015 Blue.

That makes it sound like he is happy its gone.

You know " Now that my bike got stolen give me my money so I can go buy a new 2015 in Blue that I have had my eye on" Doesn't sound good to insurance reps

Roger that.
Only give them what they specifically ask for.

.. And some insurers, like Allstate, give you the option to not only cover all of your extras, but they'll also give you a "new bike replacement" rider instead of just book price...
You get what you pay for.
